Horse Boarding
Please Note: We are relocating from our current facility at 15730 Fairview Lake Road on September 30, 2005.
Our horse boarding services include :
A 10' x 12' Stall
- Constructed with wood sides and sliding doors.
- Chain link fronts and breeze door for excellent ventilation.
- Breeze doors are closed in severe weather conditions.
- A pea gravel base floor with 3/4" rubber mats.
- Pellet bedding thoroughly cleaned daily.
- Water and grain buckets are removable for regular cleaning.
- Horses are checked throughout the day and evening.
Feed
- We provide two feedings of Timothy per day (up to 8 lb. per
feeding).
- We provide 1/2 pound of base grains per day (dry cob and/or
whole oats).
- We will add customer supplied supplements to grains as requested.
- We include loose trace mineralized salt (1 to 4 tablespoons
per
day).
- Water buckets are filled fresh every day, and topped
up as needed.
- Additional Timothy and/or grains may be added for an
additional fee.
Turnout
- Horses are turned out every day (severe weather restrictions apply)
- Turnout is on a facilities rotation schedule which includes
grass pastures and dry lots.
- Our pasture management plan is based on growth and consumption
rates.
- Water troughs are cleaned on a regular basis.
- Pastures and dry lot manure is picked on a daily basis.
- All corrals are hot wired for safety and to prevent chewing.
- We patrol the turnout areas for poisonous plants.
Facilities
All boarders have access to the facility amenities.
These include the indoor and outdoor arenas, the round pen, wash
racks,
hot walkers
tack room(s) sink areas, cross ties, first
aid, rest room, and trail access (with permit).
